Dr. Fernando Rojas-Vizcaya lecture in the 2nd Symposium Astra Tech Dental - SEPA

On Friday, January the 29th, 2011, Dr. Fernando
Rojas-Vizcaya gave a lecture at the 2nd Symposium Astra Tech - SEPA which took
place in the Congress Palace of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain.
The event had a massive attendance, surpassing
the 1,000 people between participants, Astra Tech staff and speakers, coulding
them be accommodated by the capacity of the auditorium where the event was
located.

Astra Tech Dental Spain wanted to celebrate the
25th Anniversary with innovation, a factor that characterizes the history of
this organization, and so he set an event that brought together worldwide
renowed personalities from the dental sector.

The event was presented by Mr. José Javier
Echevarria, Professor of Periodontology at the University of Barcelona, upon
presentation by Mr. Francisco Grau, CEO of Astra Tech, gave way to the
speakers.
The first speaker to take the stage was Dr.
Lyndon Cooper, Professor Honorific "Stallings" at the University of North
Carolina and Dr. Fernando Rojas-Vizcaya mentor, who gave a presentation focused
on science, motor of the future of dentistry worldwide.
Then was presented Dr. Luis Antonio Aguirre
Zorzano, Professor of Periodontics at the University UPV / EHU and one of the
best specialists in periodontics in national level.
After the coffee break it was the turn of
presentation to Dr. Tord Berglundh, from the Göteborg University, who presented
in a balanced way both the scientific and clinical experience.

After Prof. Berglundh, Dr. Pablo Galindo Moreno
of the University of Granada, made a display of science, research and
innovation worthy of being taken into account by the professionalism and the
information provided.

Following this presentation, it was the turn of
Professor Mariano Sanz, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Complutense
University of Madrid, who focused his presentation on the scientific progress
made more recently.

Then, was presented by Dr. Michael Norton,
former president of the Dental Implantology Asociciación the United Kingdom,
titled his presentation "Individualized Prosthetic solutions."

After a coffee break it was time for Dr.
Fernando Rojas-Vizcaya. The title of his lecture was "Different heights of
bone, different types of prosthetic aesthetic" and it offered a consistent
and clear approach from the treatments in several cases, using various pillars
of Astra Tech Dental, and different solutions offered by Zirkonzahn zirconium.

Posing as "a more clinical", Dr.
Fernando Rojas-Vizcaya presented the treatment given to a patient and its
evolution over five years, ending with the presentation of a case to the dental
society, which previous study and targeting treatment caught the audience’s
attention and delivered it into Dr. Rojas-Vizcaya’s words.

The new case corresponds to the complete
restoration of an edentulous maxilla and the impact on the relocation in the
lip and smile design, employing novel methods and systems and will be explained
here in cases paragraph in more detail shortly.

Dr. Fernando Rojas-Vizcaya and the team at the
Mediterranean Prosthodontic Institute would like to thank and congratulate the

The next conference will be delivered by Dr.
Fernando Rojas-Vizcaya will be at the 26th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Osseointegration,
which will take place between 3 and March 5, 2011 in Washington and will have
the title "Back to the Future: Combining Fundamental Principles with New
Technologies for the Next 25 Years.
